Follow these steps to experience the complete affiliate journey.
  1. Create an affiliate in the Partner Management page. Assign them to a partner group with a commission rate.
  2. Get the referral link from the affiliate dashboard. It will look like /r/GROUUP-090F.
  3. Append the demo store URL as a destination:

  4. Complete a test purchase on the demo store. You will see an affiliate banner confirming referral attribution.
  5. Check the dashboard— the conversion will appear in Admin Dashboard under referrals and commissions.

The demo store runs on its branded production domain and sends tracking requests to this Affiliatops instance.

Integration Details

  • Tracker script: Embed a single <script> tag with your store API key. It handles session tracking, page views, heartbeats, and cookie-based attribution automatically.
  • Cookie attribution: The tracker stores referral codes in a 30-day cookie and sends UTM parameters with every event.
  • Event tracking: The demo store calls trackProductView(), trackAddToCart(), trackCheckoutStarted(), and trackConversion() at the appropriate moments.
  • Real-time analytics: All events appear instantly in the admin dashboard under Site Analytics, including the live visitor globe, session timeline, and conversion funnel.
